The Pastry Chef will have the ability to create unique offerings for our clients.*Minimum of one to two years progressive experience in a pastry capacity.*Knowledge of new trends in presentation and preparation.*The successful candidate must have experience in a similar role and be eligible to legally work in Canada.The Life of our Pastry Chef:* Lead and develop the Pastry Team.* Assist and contribute to continuous development of culinary staff whenever necessary.* Contribute to menus and bi-weekly offerings including the creation of bi-weekly specials.* Cost menu items and conduct monthly inventory.* Ensure the pastry kitchen and cooler/freezer is kept in a clean and hygienic state.* Order and receive ingredients, proper storage and rotation of ingredients.Do you have what it takes?* 1 to 2 years’ experience in a senior pastry role.* Minimum of 1 years supervisory experience.* Excellent technical knowledge of contemporary pastry, dessert and baking styles.* Ability to cost menu items and conduct monthly inventory.* Flexible scheduling - working days, evenings and weekends required.
