● MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES： - Contribute towards drafting a monthly economic letter that provides an overview of selected economic issues, the Canadian and US economies and the oil market.
- Contribute towards writing and writing briefing notes for senior management on economic issues, such as economic competitiveness, industrial profiles, public policies and economic outlooks.
- Provide advice to senior management on business issues facing SMEs and on economic developments.
- Support the operation of BDC’s macroeconomic forecasting tool, this includes working with a senior economist towards translating economic scenarios into model shocks, calibrating the model and interpreting results.
- Support BDC financial and strategic planning process by contributing economic analysis to BDC’s financial statements and corporate plan.
- Contribute towards drafting research reports on a wide range of economic related topics.
● 职位要求： - 经济学或其他相关专业的硕士学位；
- 三年以上宏观经济研究经验，需有撰写经济研究报告的经验；
- 有咨询或私营部门工作经验者优先；
- 掌握英法双语并拥有优秀书面沟通能力；
- 了解加拿大商业部门和行业；
- 拥有分析和概念思维能力；
- 精通Microsoft Office应用程序。
● REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS： - Master’s degree in economics or other appropriate area of specialty.
- More than 3 years of experience conducting macroeconomic research where writing economic research reports intended for a variety of audiences was required.
- Work experience in consulting/ private sector is an asset
- Excellent written communication skills in both official languages
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian business sectors and industries
- Analytical and conceptual thinking competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
