Position Title: Human Resources Administrator/HR Administrator Position Summary: HR Administrator acts as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners. The main administrative duties include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g. employment records and onboarding guides) and updating internal databases. Our ideal candidate has experience with HR procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner. Primary Responsibilities: - Provides job candidates by screening, interviewing, and testing applicants; notifying existing staff of internal opportunities; maintaining personnel records;
- Manages and updates HR databases with different information such as new hires, terminations, sick leaves, warnings, vacation and days off
- Helps in payroll management, preparation and payment
- Prepares, manages and stores paperwork for HR policies and procedures
- Answers employees’ questions and provides requested information
- Maintains schedule and coordinates calendar activities
- Assists recruiters in posting job ads on careers pages and processing received resumes
- Answers telephone calls and provides needed information
- Creates reports for senior management
- Helps organize and manages new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
Minimum Education & Experience: - One to two years' related experience
Other Qualifying Skills And/Or Abilities: Demonstrated ability to multitask; proven knowledge of Microsoft Office/Outlook, etc. Excellent organizational skills. Attention to details. Excellent ability working in teams as well as autonomously. Proven experience dealing with customers at different levels.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of provincial employment and payroll statutes; and Good knowledge of Word, Outlook, Ceridian, Excel, Indeed.ca an. Must have at least 2 years of related experience, preferably in education environment. High level of adaptability and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work in a fast paced, ever changing environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both English and French (both oral and written). Position Type: Full-Time Additional Information: Ability to work evenings and weekends.
