Maintain and enhance database systems to facilitate the management of information for the unit. Having a complete and global understanding of the operations and functions of the School, analyze and interpret data result using statistical techniques, and produce ongoing reports (with “user-friendly” presentation) for internal and external contacts. Ensure data integrity is maintained for the unit and trouble shoots any problems as necessary.
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
The incumbent must ‘translate’ the data to ‘non-numeric’ audiences through graphics, etc. and must be able to assess the validity of data.
Administer data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain local databases/data systems. Design from multiple sources such as Banner Data warehouse and Oracle based databases using statistical packages such as Excel and Crystal Reports to capture quantitative and qualitative data with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Work closely with MedIT programmer(s) and end-user clientele.
Design and carry out surveys on various operational topics in the School with Faculty, Students, Clients and Administrative staff to gather data for accreditation and quality assurance exercises.
Maintain a database of survey results and human resource allocation for the School.
Prepare narrative reports and graphic representation of the data to meet accreditation and other reporting requirements.
Provide formal and informal training to database users.
